Whether or not you have a tattoo, we all understand that each ink-filled line, squiggle or inspirational quote marked into the skin has special meaning. For some it represents a significant achievement, for others it ensures they remain connected to the memory of a special person in their life.
Tattoos are personal ... and let's be honest, some leave a lot to be desired ... but one person's cliché (usually in French) is another person's poetry. Is someone the guardian of your light or your heart? That's totally okay, after all, ‘mum’ tattoos never really go out of style do they?
Mostly the images or words are inscribed just for the bearer of the tattoo but they can be a means of showing the world who we are and what we believe in. We could poke around the philosophy of tattoos, their spiritual significance and cultural history but that would be need(le)less. Okay so the puns are terrible, let's move on.
Vegan tattoos popped up in conversation for the team at Kusaga HQ. What started out as a few texts of ‘check out this tattoo’ quickly escalated to discussions about vegan ink, personal preferences and dares to ‘ink up’. Even those with virgin skin poked a toe in the water. Just maybe ...
To calm things down, we put together a selection of some of our favourite vegan tattoo pictures along with relevant links to more information about vegan ink and vegan tattooists from around the world.
We'd love to see your contributions. Share with us your own tattoos or examples you like but perhaps you're just not ready to make them a permanent feature.
